Make the beloved fast food classic in your own home! The Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty is a stand out staple of my childhood. I remember pulling through Wendy’s on a Friday after school, getting a Jr. Chocolate Frosty and dipping my French fries and nuggets into it, feeling like a creative genius. It was always too thick for a straw, but smooth wonderful on a spoon. The taste is delicious, the flavor is iconic, the creamy texture is unmatched, and now with just 4 simple ingredients, you can have your own homemade Frosty.

Ingredients in a Wendy’s Frosty

Sweetened Condensed Milk Cool Whip Milk Chocolate Syrup

Method

As you gather your copycat Frosty ingredients, remember that this process takes about 6 hours. It isn’t an instant gratification type of treat. But, good things take time. In a large bowl, take your sweetened condensed milk and whipped topping and fold together until they are smooth and well incorporated. Next, add milk and chocolate syrup to the bowl. Mix all of these ingredients together until well combined. It will be runny. Transfer to an airtight freezer-safe container. Stir this mixture hourly until it reaches your desired consistency. Note: if you split the mixture into smaller containers, it will freeze faster.

Make and Freeze Ahead of Time

You can make the mixture up to a week ahead of time. No need to stir hourly, just freeze solid in a freezer safe container. You can also freeze it in several smaller containers. When you’re ready to eat, take out and let defrost for about 20 minutes. Break into frozen chunks and blend in blender until smooth.
