I am completely in love with Thai Chicken Pizza! Whenever we eat at California Pizza Kitchen, it’s the first thing I order. Sadly, we don’t live near a CPK anymore, but this Thai chicken pizza recipe tastes JUST like the original. From the peanut sauce to the tender chicken, to the homemade pizza crust, you are going to love this easy Thai chicken pizza!
Ingredients for Homemade Thai Peanut Sauce
Spice up your next pizza night with this recipe! The Thai peanut sauce is to die for and we always use our homemade pizza crust, which could not be easier.
Chicken broth – half a cup Garlic – start with four large cloves, pressed or minced Creamy peanut butter – six heaping tablespoons of your favorite brand. Soy sauce – another six tablespoons Honey – three tablespoons. You could also add a teaspoon of brown sugar if you want it a bit sweeter. Ginger – three tablespoons of freshly minced ginger. You can buy ginger root at the grocery store and store it in the freezer for several months. Sriracha chili sauce – start with two teaspoons and keep adding until it’s as spicy as you like it.
For the Thai Pizza Toppings
Chicken breasts – you’ll need about two large pieces of cooked chicken to cut up into cubes. House of Tsang Peanut Sauce – You’ll use this to marinate the chicken. This sauce is incredible and gives the chicken such a deep, spicy flavor! Mozzarella cheese – Shredded Carrots – about half a cup, julienned or shredded Bean sprouts – half cup. You can find these in the produce section of the grocery store Peanuts – I like to use unsalted for this recipe so the salt doesn’t overpower the rest of the flavors. Fresh cilantro – chop up half a cup, or more if desired. Green onion – diced
Optional Toppings
Feel free to add or take off any toppings you like! My family hates bean sprouts, so I only use a few on my own part of the pizza. But you can also try:
Veggies – Green peppers and red bell pepper, red or purple onions, mushrooms Spicy – Red pepper flakes, sriracha sauce, Herbs – Fresh basil Lime juice – just a sprinkling over the top gives the pizza a vibrant, fresh taste. Dash of Vinegar Nuts – Cashews
How to Make Thai Chicken Pizza at Home
Using Our Homemade Pizza Dough
This is the only homemade pizza dough recipe I ever use. It is so easy to prepare and, unlike some dough recipes I have tried, it actually tastes delicious! This pizza dough recipe makes enough dough for two large pizzas. You can make two pizzas, make one and freeze one, or use the second to make breadsticks instead. The dough keeps great in the freezer; just be sure to bring the dough to room temperature again before rolling it out. If you want to use a store-bought pizza crust or use another homemade version (like a cauliflower pizza crust!) that is totally fine too! We’re just a little biased to ours.
Peanut Sauce for Thai Chicken Pizza
Some of our readers asked if they could just use the leftover peanut sauce marinade as the peanut sauce on their pizza. We do not recommend this. The juices from the chicken will make the sauce much more runny than you’d want for a pizza topping. It also isn’t very food-safe. The pizza won’t be going in the oven long enough to cook out all the bacteria from the raw chicken – that’s why you grill the chicken before putting it on the pizza.
