How To Make Matcha Parfait

Homemade Matcha parfait is quick to prepare. First, prepare the matcha jelly by whisking together matcha powder, kanten powder, and sugar in a bowl. Mix them with water in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Stir occasionally until the powder has completely dissolved. Remove from the heat, pour the mixture into a glass container, and let it set in the refrigerator. Next, make the mochi balls by combining Shiratamako mochi rice flour with water. Divide the mochi dough into small balls and cook them in the boiling water. Drain them and soak in the water. They’re ready to use. Finally, layer up all the ingredients in your dessert cup, and create a fantastic matcha parfait that no one can resist.

Cooking Tips

For the best result, please follow my tips below:

Shiratamako mochi rice flour can be substituted with glutinous rice flour or Mochiko sweet rice flour. If using Mochiko powder, slowly add the water while combing the ingredients together to form a smooth dough.  Kanten powder is a similar ingredient to agar powder.  Toppings for matcha parfait are various, you may enjoy it according to your personal preference, such as ice cream, cookies, or fresh fruits.
