Published Mar 07, 2017 Updated Sep 10, 2024 One of my favorite ingredients in my Asian pantry is Japanese miso, which is ground soybean paste. Miso tastes savory, earthy, with a slight tint of sweetness. Miso is used widely in Japanese cooking, for examples: miso soup, asari miso soup (with clams), miso ramen, miso-glazed sea bass and so much more. Today, I am showing you how to make these sticky Japanese honey miso chicken wings. There are a few types of miso: white miso, yellow miso and red miso. The darker the color, the more salty it is. I am partial to the sweeter version of white miso, which is mild and very tasty. These sticky honey miso wings are so delicious; sweet, savory, with the taste of miso and honey. Make a bunch of these, they can be served as an entree for dinner or as an appetizer. You can get miso at Japanese or Asian stores and some grocery stores are starting to offer them. Enjoy!
