A feast for the eyes as well as the stomach, this guacamole with a sour cream spider web and itsy bitsy black olive spider is fun to look at and enjoy! With our easy to make and delicious guacamole as a base, you can let your creativity guide you in making the web and spider. Nothing has to be perfect, and no two spider webs are the same, so keep that in mind as you build your web. Variations A basic taco dip could replace the guacamole. Salsa, refried beans, guacamole, and shredded cheese are layered with sour cream on top. And if tortilla chips aren’t a family favorite, try dipping some of the following:
Pita chips Pretzel sticks Carrot sticks Cucumber slices
Pumpkin Cheese Ball
This Pumpkin Cheese Ball is packed with flavor, inside and out. It’s one of those classic snacks we all know and love. Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and guests will enjoy the fresh herbs of the green onion inside and the crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos coating on the outside that give this cheddar-jack-o lantern a yummy crunch.
Variations
Feel free to use your favorite cheese ball recipe, and then add the crushed chips and pepper stem for that pumpkin flair.
Tips
If your pepper stem won’t stay put in your cheese ball, insert a toothpick into the bottom of the stem and then try sticking it back in the cheese ball.
Mummy Dogs
Halloween just isn’t Halloween without Mummy Dogs. It’s like trying to celebrate without eating candy…it just isn’t done. If you’ve never had one before, they are similar to pigs in a blanket, just a savory version. They really are as simple as wrapping crescent roll dough around a hot dog and baking. Kids love these because they look silly and spooky.
Variations
Veggie dogs can be used in place of your typical hot dog. You can cut the hot dogs in half for a smaller, more manageable mummy for younger children.
