Crescent Roll Veggie Pizza recipe can make a vegetable lover out of even the pickiest of eaters. We first made the cold veggie pizza for a family New Year’s Eve party and it was a huge hit, especially with the kids! Grab a crescent dough from the grocery store, pile on all your favorite fresh veggies, chill in the refrigerator, and then enjoy a healthy appetizer that everyone will absolutely love.

Ingredients in Veggie Pizza Squares

Cans/tubes of crescent rolls Cream cheese  Ranch dressing  Shredded carrots – you can use pre-shredded or just use a grater to shred your own. Broccoli – finely chopped Red pepper – finely chopped Cucumber – chopped into bite size pieces

More Topping Options

Why stop at just the basics? This vegetable pizza recipe is the perfect way to stuff your kids (and yourself) with yummy, nutritious veggies. I promise, the more the better! Here are some ideas to try:

Black olives – sliced Avocado – diced  Tomatoes – chopped Green bell pepper – chopped Red Onion – diced Red pepper flakes Green onion or onion powder Roasted garlic or garlic powder Arugula Fresh basil leaves Mushrooms Artichoke hearts Zucchini Cauliflower Fresh herbs Mozzarella cheese Parmesan cheese Cheddar cheese

The Secret’s in the Cream Cheese

The cream cheese and ranch mixture is the perfect base for your veggie pizza. We have also used Kroger Greek Cream Cheese & Greek Yogurt for this cold veggie pizza recipe – it has TWICE the protein and HALF the fat of regular cream cheese. You can get the Kroger Greek Cream Cheese & Greek Yogurt both in a brick and in a whipped tub. We used the brick for this recipe, but if you are looking for a lighter, more airy texture, try the whipped. Spread in an even layer all over the baked crust. It’s so delicious I also love using the whipped spread on crackers and bagels.

Additional Ideas for Crescent Roll Veggie Pizza

This is a great recipe for getting your kids involved in the kitchen. My kids love picking out the vegetables for their own pizzas. I put a bunch of vibrantly colored veggies in bowls on the kitchen island and let them go crazy! We have made them “Mexi-style” by adding salsa over the cream cheese mixture and then adding avocado and olives (and leaving out the broccoli and cucumber). That is actually my husband’s favorite way of making this. You can also make it “California Roll” style by just adding cucumber, avocado, and carrots (you can add a little crab meat too, but then they are no longer “veggie” squares). Get creative and make it your own! Make it extra fun for kids to eat by using a cookie cutter to cut out the pieces on a sheet pan. I don’t know about your kids, but make it “heart-shaped” and they will eat just about anything!
