These waffles have a slightly crunchy texture on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside, and the rich chocolate flavor is perfection. Ingredients for Chocolate Waffles
The ingredients for this chocolate waffle recipe are simple, pantry staples so you can mix up a batch any time the chocolate cravings strike! Here’s all you need:
All purpose flour – white flour works best but you could substitute half whole wheat flour too. Sugar Baking powder – you’ll need about three teaspoons Unsweetened cocoa powder Eggs – use two and separate the yolks from the whites Milk – this recipe is better with whole milk but you can use any milk you have Melted butter Vanilla extract
That’s it! The recipe doesn’t call for salt, but you can toss in a dash or two to enhance the flavors. You can also give these waffles extra protein by adding a scoop of chocolate protein powder to the flour mixture.
