Tips for the Perfect Chocolate Covered Bananas
Freeze your bananas at least 2 hours before dipping, and be sure to remember to insert the popsicle stick into your banana before you freeze them. The chocolate dries SUPER quick, so be sure to have your toppings ready! If you want a thinner chocolate coating, add a tablespoon of coconut oil to the warm melted chocolate chips. Keep parchment paper handy. You’ll use it for freezing and after dipping. When freezing, line your baking sheet with parchment paper and place your bananas on top so nothing gets stuck or broken. Dip using a narrow, deep container like a tall glass cup. This will make sure that the bananas are evenly coated. Be sure to swirl off excess chocolate. After coating in toppings, place on parchment paper to dry. This way, once the bananas are all hardened, you can peel them off the parchment paper no problem!
