Cadbury Creme Egg Cookies Ingredients
With only four ingredients in this recipe, you can’t go wrong! It is quick and easy with such a fun twist! Get ready to sink your teeth into a sweet surprise in every bite. These Easter cookies are the best yet!
Devil’s food cake mix – The cake mix is used for dry ingredients only. It is a chocolate base cake that has cocoa powder, flour, and sugar mixed together. Since we are not wanting a cake-like cookie we are only using the package and making our own cookie recipe with it. Eggs – This is a binder in most desserts! Eggs are great to add color, texture, and even flavor to the dough. Canola oil – Helps add moisture to the cookies and helps keep them chewy and delicious once baked. Cadbury mini eggs – It is important to note that Mini Cadbury Creme Eggs are NOT the mini eggs that have the hard candy shell on the outside. These mini eggs are the kind that has foil wrapping and looks just like the original Cadbury Creme Egg. Just smaller. They usually come in a plastic carton of 12. So for this recipe, you will just need 2 of those cartons.

Substitutions for Easy Cadbury Creme Egg Cookies
Sometimes we don’t have all the ingredients that we need or want to substitute a few ingredients to make it better! The four ingredients are easy to change and have several variations. These Cadbury creme egg cookies are easy to make substitutions for.
Substitute eggs – You can use the Mini Cadbury Caramel Eggs instead of the creamy ones. My husband actually liked the caramel Easter cookies better. I liked the Creme Egg Easter cookies best. Totally a personal preference here. Cake mix flavor – You can use any kind of cake mix that you would like for these cookies. I like to use the Devil’s Food cake because it makes them extra rich and I love the flavor. You can use German chocolate or regular chocolate as well. Chocolate chip cookies – If you aren’t big into chocolate cookies or cake mix cookies, you can easily make chocolate chip cookies stuffed with the Mini Cadbury Creme Eggs as well. You can use our recipe for chocolate chip cookies and roll the dough around each chocolate mini Cadbury Creme Eggs.
